Precision Garage Door has always been dedicated to bringing you REAL, fair and honest reviews. We receive reviews from our customers through many different mediums. To make our reviews more transparent, we have decided to reveal how exactly these reviews get here.

Types of Reviews


This review was a "Report Card Submission". We ask our customers to fill out a "report card", like the one pictured below, at the completion of every job. The star rating is an average of how the technician performed in knowledge, promptness, courtesy, ability to finish the job quickly and in one visit, clean up of the job site and overall quality of the finished work. To add transparency to our business we make these public on our website.


At the completion of every job we ask our customers to review our business on our website. Their comments are reviewed manually for inappropriate language and then posted to the website unedited.

This review was a "Telephone Submission". Often after work is completed we conduct a telephone survey to ensure complete satisfaction with the work we did. With permission, Comments from these calls are transcribed and displayed on our website.

This review was an "E-mail Submission". Sometimes our customers send us emails to let us know more about how we performed. With their permission these are posted to the site.

This review was a "Postal Mail Submission". Our customers send us letters through traditional postal mail reviewing our performance. When they do, we transcribe it and place it on our website.

Jerry was our technician. He provided excellent service! He was very respectful, polite and honest. It did not take him long at all to figure out the problem. My only concern - its not a complaint by any means, I have an old house...however, I am disapointed that Precision is not assisting in providing the outlet source for the garage door opener. Instead I have to run an extension cord - or pay someone to add the outlet.

Honestly this was a nightmare. In December the door was making noise. They said we needed new springs. After a month and several calls they got the springs but by this time the opener was damaged. More parts ordered, missed appointments and calls, and runarounds. Then the opener completely destroyed itself. For two weeks we could not open the door at all.

We gave them two stars because they finally just installed a new opener.

It took three and a Half months from our first call.

I spoke with Mr. Norviel about this situation, which was caused by a lack of follow up by one of our new technicians. This situation on our part was unacceptable, which is why we installed a brand new upgraded opener at our expense. Additionally, we used this situation as a training and learning experience for all of our technicians.
I later spoke with Mr. Norviel, apologized again for this situation, and ascertained that all is well with his garage door at this point.

I am very dissatisfied with the service we recieved. We were told false information regarding our garage door and quoted double what others quoted. On top of this we paid $29.95 to recieve this false information which took all of 2 minutes. I am seriuosly considering contacting the BBB and the Turko files.

Wayne Dalton does indeed have parts and there are reputable garage door repair companies that will fix this without an $800.00 price tag for one spring!

You should be ashamed of yourself!

I spoke with the customer who stated that he understood our technician's recommendation, but his understanding from our technician was that the manufacturer of his spring system was out of business. In discussing the situation with our technician, he intended to convey that there was a different option that may serve the customer better long term, but not that the manufacturer of the customer's system was out of business. And, the $800 for one spring repair was a total misunderstanding, and was not what was proposed.
After speaking with the customer, he stated that he now understands our technician was recommending a very different solution, the his is fine with what happened, and was very appreciative of my call.

On May 17, 2010 Mr Shelden installed a Skylink wall button. Left town on vacation. Upon returning the wall button button failed to work. The technician sent was great! I'm sorry I don't recall his name. And the service was also great. The only reason you did not get all five stars was the 'assistant' (who looked and acted more like a manager). I did not see this man do any work. He did smoke in my driveway (I could smell it in the house when I opened my garage service door) and left several cigarette butts along the street. Not very professional.
I don't mind paying for service, but don't like paying $$$ for two people when one sat around most (all?) of the time!

The extra person that you spoke of, you did not pay for his services. He is a trainer and we periodically send him with technicians to assure that our customers get superior service every time. I am very disappointed in his behavior, and particularly since we have a “no smoking” policy in our offices, our vehicles and the customer's home.

We immediately corrected this problem and have made sure that this behavior is not repeated with any customer. We thought that our policy was clear, but as a result of your feedback we have amended it to include no smoking anywhere on the customer's property. Again, I appreciate your valuable feedback, and assure you that you will always get the service you deserve.
